A few weeks ago after browsing in while deleting my private data in Google Chrome, I noticed “Adobe Flash Player storage settings“, When I clicked it, I was taken to http://www.adobe.com/go/settmgr_storage_en. While exploring the options there I disabled ‘Allow Third Party Flash Content To Store Data On Your Computer‘. I didn’t know then that it will be a serious inconvenience later on.
As you have guessed it by now, this is the reason for ‘Press ESC to exit full screen mode‘ not fading away in full screen mode.

To rectify the error just revert the above settings. Go to the settings page at: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html This should bring the global storage settings window up. Bring the slider to about 100kb. If ‘Allow Third Party Flash Content To Store Data On Your Computer‘ is NOT selected, then select it.
