On May 27, 2011 Firefox 6 Alpha was released (Download), But sadly most of the add-on developers have not updated their add-ons yet. It will take time for them to do so, in the mean time you want to try out Firefox 6, So here is how to make your add-ons work in Firefox 6.
Note: If you are using Firefox 6 right now, you may want to copy the following into notepad before proceeding.
- Navigate to
about:configin your address bar - Click on the
I’ll Be Careful, I Promisebutton - Right-click on the list and select
New > Boolean - In the
Preference Namedialog box type:extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0aand selectFalse - Right-click on the list again and select
New > Boolean - In the
Preference Namedialog box type:extensions.checkCompatibility.6.0a1and selectFalse - Restart Aurora (Firefox)
